Syncing phone contacts with gmail

1. Make sure you are connected via WiFi or data plan.
2. Go to your Contacts page. You should see all contacts saved on sim, and phone
3. Hit the menu button and select, "Import/Export"
4. In next window hit "Share visible contacts"
5. In next window hit "Gmail"
6. In next window, send the already attached VcardsXXXXXX.vcf file to your Gmail address. Make sure you fill in "To" with your Gmail address and put something in the "Subject" line and "Message box" then hit "Send" This will send the contacts list to your Gmail account.
7. Go to your Gmail account, log in and open the message you just sent.
8. When you open the message, you will see two options, "Import to contacts" and "Download". Click "Import to contacts".
9. Now it will take you to another screen which will tell you the contacts have been imported but not merged.
10. At the top of this screen, you will see an option to "find and merge contacts". 
11. Click on that option.
12. Now you will see a pop up windows of duplicate entries which you want to merge.
13. Click "Merge" and you should be done.
